Before the advent of Islam, women were treated in such a evil way. They had no rights to live. They were treated worse as compare to animals. Young girls were buried alive. Women were treated like cattle, devoid of humanity. In those days of darkness and evil society, the people had not any sense about women as they are also creation of Allah. The advent of Islam gave bright light to everyone. Islam gave equal rights to both male and female. Islam recognises the position of women to be the same as that of men. Islam also recognises that women are not one of the lower specie. Islam has given women rights and privileges which she has never enjoy under other religion. GHULAM TAHIR

Political parties and women 's-Islamic Republic of Pakistan observer

The teachings of Islam, the prestigious social status on women, but her life is so miserable that can t be beared made dirty indigenous customs. Also, illiteracy and poverty, the society feudal in the installation also play women from every walk of life is getting its share due to the blockade on the central role in the current Government is discouraging this situation the Central Legislative Assembly passed Bill Anti-Women practices to positive initiatives. I think, the Government inherited properties are excluded from the transfer rates to be sent to the women would need to move forward step by announcing. All of our political party's manifesto for women in many of the ameliorative scheme but practically do nothing.

The Legislative Assembly for the province and the only political parties and women's 1/3 (1/3) party ticket reservation, you must play their role. The entire society is responsible for controlling the ailing condition of women and the full cooperation of society, but you can change the situation.

Women of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan madrassas breeds radicalism-Reuters

Dr. Firdous toured various University faculties and was shown through the 19-km long tram network that links the university’s various buildings.
Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan appreciated the pioneering role of Nora University in promoting education.
Later, talking to Saudi TV, the Minister said that keeping in view the criticism and propaganda of some western media against Islam and the Muslims, there is a dire need for strong media cooperation between the Muslim media to counter the nefarious propaganda against Islam and the Muslims.
She said that the objective of her visit is to promote cooperation in the fields of Media & Information, women development and women education.
She underlined the need for greater exchange of delegations of mediapersons, education experts, teachers and students.
She also underlined the need for benefitting from each other’s experience.
Talking to the Pakistani community at the residence of Asghar Qureshi, member, Board of Governors for Overseas Pakistanis, the Minister said that the Pakistani community in KSA was doing a great job by contributing to the development of Saudi Arabia and boosting the economy of Pakistan.
She advised the community to abide by the rules & regulations of the KSA and  work as responsible citizens.
She thanked the Saudi leadership for providing a congenial atmosphere to the Pakistani workers and lauded the deep ties and the noble stand of the Saudi leadership and the nation towards Pakistan.
Later, the Minister visited the central Museum in Riyadh and was shown the artefact, historical documents, relics, antiques and classical portraits put on display.

Today I want to write on brutal killings of this week, one of the Saudi diplomat in Karachi and the other of the five Chechins, including one 25 year old pregnant woman among them, in Quetta.

Let me first begin with the most condemnable killing aimed at creating mischief between Pakistan and its staunchest friend, Saudi Arabia which as any Pakistani would recall has been ready to help and support Pakistan in its worst times which have been many during the six decades, the Kashmir Case, the Bangla Desh Crisis, the financial crises which have been many, and what not. Ambassador Altaf Shaikh who had organized preparation for the Lahore Summit when he was at the Foreign Office, came to Beirut for certain purchases for reupholstering the Punjab Assembly seats. I asked him who will pay the heavy expenses. He said King Faisal. He was paying all the expenses of the Summit from A to Z Altaf Shaikh said that it was king Faisal?s idea to hold the Islamic Summit in Lahore. so that Pakistan regain its standing and confidence it had lost after its break up into two, and humiliation of military defeat in 1971. I was then Ambassador to Lebanon Saudi Arabia had been ever ready to support us, help us, extend its hand as an example of the proverb a friend in need is friend indeed is Saudi Arabia. This is the history of those decades Pakistan has been in existence But there is a link between two of us from the day Islam was born Makkah and Madina are the beacon of our guidance from that day.. Saudi Arabia is the land of the two Holiest of the Holy Shrines of Islam to which the loyalty of every Muslim is first and foremost, above any thing in the world. To any Muslim .worth the name the Land of the ?Haramain el Sharifan? is the most pious piece of land on this world. When I took my parents to the Hajj driving from Beirut to the Holy Land on entering Saudi Arabia I remember the ecstasy my parents felt on entering the Holy Land. Every speck of dust of Saudi Arabia is sacred to a Muslim.

And here some mischievous man or group of men murder a Saudi diplomat in Karachi, the city with the highest educated population - who know what Saudi Arabia is for us the Muslims. One would have assumed that in Pakistan every brother Saudi is safe and no one could cast a dirty look on him. And here he is murdered!! This is a scandal intended to damage the Saudi relations with Pakistan. No Pakistani would ever murder a Saudi diplomat. Let me say it with confidence that no Karachite would indulge in this heinous crime. Since this murder took place after the killing of Usama Bin Laden the impression the perpetrators of this act wanted to create was that it was a revenge for Usama?s killing. But he was killed by Americans acting on Obama?s orders. This is a strange logic that the killers are Americans and it is a Saudi diplomat assassinated. Silly logic Paul thieves and Peter pays..

It is well known that India?s Raw, US?s CIA and Afghan Khad have sat up a terrorist organization which indulges in activities in Pakistan to give Pakistan a bad name . It is financed, armed and trained by these foreign agencies and acts on their behalf and orders. No Pakistani certainly not any Karachi-ite would do the killing of a Saudi diplomat.

While fully sympathizing with the grieved family and Saudi Embassy in Pakistan one would agree with the Saudis that they should suspend issue of Visa from Karachi Consulate for one full year to give the message to Karachi-ites that they should discharge their responsibilities towards Saudi Arabia in their city.. The Saudi Consulates stopping Visa service from Karachi for one year would send the right signals to the people in Karachi to look after the Saudi Consulate.. The people should care more for Saudi diplomats? safety than the Police Any way we hang our heads in shame on this killing of the Saudi diplomat. It was done by foreign agents abusing our land for their heinous purposes.

Similarly , all accounts of witnesses to the killing of the five Chechins indicate that the Quetta Police hurriedly assumed that ?the foreigners? were terrorists although it seems that they had the possibility of ascertaining the facts before jumping to the conclusion that they were terrorists simply because they were foreigners. The killing of a young pregnant woman who was pleading for safety of her life were disregarded. What a pity it is assumed that any foreign Muslim in Pakistan is a terrorist. Foreign Muslims in Pakistan whether a Saudi diplomat or a Chechin woman are target of every kind of gunmen.

While on the operation of terrorist organizations in Pakistan with most misleading labels one cannot help reminding that the words of the Holy Quran are clear and no Mullah should misinterpret them. The Quran says he who murders a Muslim intentionally will go to the Hell. No ifs and buts, just plain and simple statement that any body who kills a Muslim intentionally will go to the Hell .The Holy Quran says killing one man- unjustly that is- is like killing the entire humanity. Unjust killing is prohibited in Islam. Bombing the mosques, killing Muslims while praying is the act of Devil, , blowing up of the shrines of those who spread Islam and converted millions of locals to Islam cannot be justified by any person . Suicide is so abhorred in Islam that funeral prayer is not permitted on the corps of a person who committed suicide. How all the values of Muslims based on Quranic injunctions can be wrongly interpreted is beyond my imagination. This reminds one of the cult of Hassan Bin Sabah ? the Hashishieye ? who used to brain wash the youth to kill persons on their hit list and tell them that they will go straight to the paradise by killings their enemy Any one who commits suicide dies of haram death . Suicide is haram in Islam. Islam is not a bellicose religion, it is a peaceful religion and indeed it allows the use of force but by an oppressed in defence of his rights.

Unfortunately the fire of revenge is stroked by white countries who in their arrogance of power go on shedding Muslim blood. Latest example is the Crusader West and NATO?s killing sprees on Libya and playing the dirty old game of putting up a bogus group claiming to be the recognized regime against Ghaddafi. Even a child knows that the West has been after the blood of Ghaddafi since decades and has now found its golden opportunity to play a proxy war against him.. Such silly adventures create problems for those who want to eliminate terrorism from their countries. The West is ever ready to put a flame here and a flame there which ignites terrorism. And the terrorists retaliate against innocent helpless Muslims in their lands as the easiest targets So the loser in both cases is the innocent Muslim victim of terrorism To eliminate terrorism the Western Powers also have a responsibility to stop shedding of Muslim blood every now and then here and there.

Pakistan: Women free Kalash - BBC News

May 20, 2011 update at 17: 48 GMT by Nosheen Abbas Kalash Valley during the festival time in the Valley of Kalash of Pakistan, almost everything is possible for women.

They can declare their love for a pretender and put an end to their marriage, as long as the community knows in advance the imminent split. They may even flee.

It is large swathes of Pakistan where a conservative Islamic outlook dictate how women and rights that they behave.

But, in the Kalash Valley a more liberal approach dominates, in part because of his unique religion and culture. The Kalash People is not Islamic - they worship a pantheon of gods and goddesses and maintain exuberant festivals inspired by the seasons and year of agriculture.

"In our religion, you can choose the one marry you, parents not dictate to you,"said Mehmood, a girl of 17 years Kalash who accompanied me that we have to scale a labyrinthine puzzle of small houses set in the face of the mountain."."

In this close society, roof a person is someone of another veranda. Stairs soon connect a House to another and he felt climbing in a tree house in the clouds.

Through the wooden window frames and scales of houses were seen panoramic of immense jagged stones and gloriously green mountains surrounding this isolated Valley.

Festivals elopers

Sahiba, Be Happy, 20 years with two children, lives in one of these houses, and she told me how she fled with her husband during a festival.

Sahiba says that she was able to escape with the man she loves

"I met my husband the manner in which I speak...". "I have had to know three years before marrying him," she said.

"When there is a festival that that the girl is in love with her can escape with him... and this is how I left with the man who is now my husband."

She explains how after they fled together they went to stay in the House of his parents.

"You can stay for as long as you want, there is no specific time, but finally after two months, that we arrived at the House of my parents and we married.

It is a non-conventional courtship, but it is a non-conventional place. Some tasks are still separated. Women generally do the household while the trade and the work of working men. Farm men and women.

The Kalash attitude to sex is also defined by the concept of purity. Some rituals can be performed only by men. The temple itself near seasonal spring festival area is inaccessible to women and Muslims.

Women must wash clothes, and bathe separately. And during their menstrual cycle and pregnancy women living room separate outside the village. They can go to the fields to work, but they are not intended to enter the village.

Yasser, a Kalash man, said: "women are considered unclean, but women are highly respected in society."

"There are only a few things, women are not meant to do.

Bold women

In effect, marriage and divorce is easier for women than for men. Jamrat, 22 years old, left her husband after a year and now lives with another man in the House of his parents. Her former husband converted to Islam, remarried with and moved to a nearby village.

But there are also financial considerations.

"The second husband must give to double the amount of money gave the first husband upon marriage, because for the first husband, it is as if he has lost his money and his wife,"she said."".

If the woman did not remarry, the husband has the right to recover the money of the father of the bride. Although Jamrat is not technically married to his new partner, he nevertheless had to make the first husband of 60,000 rupees ($700; £ 425).

Kalash women, whom I met in Rumbur and Balanguru are bold and outspoken. They watch in eyes when talking and do not hesitate to speak their mind.

In this small village - far above the hot chaos of the main cities of Pakistan and cities - patriarchy that informs most aspects of life in the rest of the country is clearly non-existent.

UN-backed Asia-Pacific forum stresses social protection for poverty reduction - UNITED NATIONS, May 23 (APP): Basic social protection for all segments of the population is key to protecting people from extreme poverty and economic exclusion, according to views expressed Monday by government representatives from the Asia-Pacific region attending a UN forum in Thailand.Developing countries can afford to provide universal basic social protection, the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) says in an assessment, which formed the basis for discussions at the ESCAP Commission Session for Asia-Pacific governments being held in Bangkok.According to the ESCAP study, entitled “The  Promise of Protection,” a universal basic social protection package costs no more than 3 per cent of gross national income (GNI) and is affordable at virtually any stage of economic development.

NUPSA condemns attack on military base in Karachi, praises efforts of security forces - LONDON, May 23 (APP)- The UK-based National Union of Pakistani Students and Alumni (NUPSA) Monday strongly condemned the attack on Naval air base in Karachi and praised the sacrfices rendered by the security forces in dealing with the situation.Calling for national unity at this juncture, NUPSA said this menace require united efforts by every member of the society to effectively surmount the challenge pose by the terrorists to national security and the people of Pakistan.“NUPSA is deeply saddened by this event and cannot begin to express the level of pain they feel along with all the Pakistanis at home and abroad. We commend the security forces for fighting these militants and giving up their lives in the confrontation,” spokesperson Sundas Malik said.

No Chinese citizens taken hostage at air base in Pakistan: Spokesperson FM - BEIJING, May 23 (APP)  - No Chinese nationals were taken hostage in a terrorist attack on an Mehran Navy Base in Pakistan’s southern port city of Karachi late Sunday night, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu confirmed in a press release here on Monday. Jiang said, as a friendly neighbor of Pakistan, China supports the efforts of Pakistani government and people in maintaining the country’s social stability.

PTI UK stage protest outside US Embassy in London against drone attacks - LONDON, May 23 (APP):The UK chapter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) organized largely participated protest outside the American Embassy in Central London at the weekend against the drone attacks in Pakistan. The presence of hundreds of people including women and children from all across the UK conveyed the deep feelings of the Pakistani community in Britain against the US drone attacks.

Pakistan?s flags flew high at Tiananmen Square during PM?s visit - BEIJING, MAY 23 (APP): During Prime Minister, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani’s recent visit to China, Pakistani flags were flying high on the Tiananmen Square, which show the sentiments the Chinese people and government have towards our nation and the importance they attach to their relations with Pakistan, said Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Masood Khan. Tiananmen Square is the world’s largest city square with a total area of 440,000.
ISLAMABAD, May 22 (APP) - Aaj Peshawar beat APP by 39 runs on Sunday in the TCKP Media Cricket League and Festival dedicated to Swat Valley played here at F-9 Park. APP won the toss and invited Aaj news to bat first, Aaj scored 84 runs in the allotted six overs with the loss of 3 wickets. Rashid (26), Hassan (22) were higher scorers.  In reply APP failed to reach the target and was restricted to 45 runs with the loss of four wickets in six overs.   ISLAMABAD, May 21 (APP):Hassan Sadpara, a Pakistani mountaineer who recently conquered the Mount Everst, has asked the government to help young mountaineers for better results in future.He said that he wished to climb 14 mountain summits to include his name in the Guinness Book of World Record.Talking to PTV, he said that the task of climbing the world top mountain peaks could be accomplished with the assistance and support of the government.Sadpara, who successfully climbed the world’s highest 8,850 meter summit, thanked President Asif Ali Zardari for supporting and accepting his demand in 2009.

President Zardari, in his message to the International Imam Council, organisers of Syeda Fatima (S.A.) Interfaith Conference at the House of Lords here last evening, noted that such conferences highlight the real image of Islam being a peaceful religion and clear the confusion that Islam, in any way, favours terrorism. The President said: “It gives me immense pleasure that Imam Hussain Council arranged an Interfaith Conference in recognition of Hazrat Fatima Tu-Zahra ( S.A.) , the daughter of our Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is a distinguished personality of the Muslim world.
“She is a shining moral example for all the women across the globe. Her life, her teachings, her mannerisms and even her authority over her father, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a precedent for us to follow even today.”
The President congratulated the International Imam Hussain Council for bringing all religions and sects together on one platform and becoming a significant instrument of harmony, love, tranquillity and brotherhood amongst all people.
The International Imam Hussain Council arranged the innovative seminar at the  senior chamber of the British Parliament, to encourage interfaith dialogue for the enhancement of mutual understanding and sectarian harmony.
The seminar was attended by a number of parliamentarians, interfaith leaders and people from different walks of life.
Rich tributes were paid to women from Abrahamic traditions such as Lady Mary from Christianity and Bithia from Jewish traditions. In celebrating the lives of these glorious women they also focussed on important topics of forced marriages, importance of female education and women with rights.
Originally founded in Pakistan , the International Imam Hussain Council strives to promote unity through creating innovative platforms for heads of state, scholars and members of the public to come together and find creative solutions to the complex problems and threats facing our world. The diverse audience was made up of attendees from all of the major Ibrahamic faiths, as well as representation from Hindu and Seek communities.
The main speaker, Lord Alderdice, Chair of Liberal Democrats, said that women in following the footsteps of Hazrat Fatima (S.A.)  can build bridges not only between the Abrahamic religions but also between communities with no particular belief systems. He said there is a tremendous power to motherhood, children and family which perhaps gets lost in more complex cultures.
Lord Nazir Ahmed  said Syedna Fatima is a role model for women and a symbol of unity for the Muslims. He said he raised the issue of mosques which have been demolished in Bahrain and will call on the Bahraini Government to stop destroying places of worship.
Rubab Mehdi Rizvi, Chairperson of International Imam Hussain Council, in her welcome address  said the  gender based nepotism in history means that achievements from females are conveniently forgotten.
“It is imperative in our struggle for gender parity that such personalities are given their rightful place theologically and socially as they are an authentic source of law and ethics.”
She said role of woman in society today has reached the level of stagnation. Hazrat Fatima (S.A.) is a name capable of waking women into dawn away from the painful burdens of some man-made shackles. She sacrificed all she had for justice and was a sister to the poor.
Bishop Nick Holtam of Salisbury shared a story of two extraordinary women who visited St Martin’s from Israel Palestine. He said both these women had lost their sons but following the footsteps of Lady Mary, Miriam and Syeda Fatima (peace be upon them) embarked on a joint reconciliation women while the conflict is still alive. He says these are mothers such as these who can promote the cessation of acts of hostility and the achievement of a political agreement.
Senior Rabbi Mark Winer said, “Although I am not a Muslim, I am a dedicated student of the Quran, the Hadith, and the entirety of Islam.  Although I am a Rabbi and dedicated to teaching Torah, I am also an Islamophile, a lover of Islam and Muslims.”
Julian Bond of the Christian Muslim Forum said: “Reflecting on Fatima and Mary, they both had important messages, they challenged men’s words, actions and outlooks and had close family relationships with our founders - the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Jesus Christ”.
